Minneapple was a lot of fun. Liora and I did a lot of great stuff: the Minnehaha Falls, "Capote" and "The Squid and the Whale" both of which I liked, the casino, lots of good food, friends and laughing. It was really great to see her and see how well she is there. Boston just wasn't working and it was working her into depression. Her apartment is really nice and made me want to have my own place to live.
Luckily, I don't have too much to do today since I seem to have caught a cold on the plane out there. Liora had me using herbal remedies to get better, and they actually worked. I was surprised, but plesantly so.
Apparently, I am now 5th on an elegibility list to be a librarian in W@yne. There was scoring and a "right" answers but I suppose I must have done pretty well since there were about 15 people and I came in 5th.
Last night after I got home, my mom and I went to a Jewish Women Book Club. Oh yes, they do exist. There was a "Cuban Jewess" (her words) talking about her book. It was pretty interesting, and there were plantains so I was pleased.
My mom brought a birthday cake. We were told to bring dessert, and we Weinsteins tend to bring what we like places to ensure that there will be something there we like. So...my mom brought a birthday cake because she likes cake. We were asked a lot whose birthday it was, and I wanted to say Jesus, but my mom said no to that. So we just said we like cake and left it at that.
